We collect no personal information whatsoever. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information (there are no accounts).
• We do not receive, upload, or store any files you process — images or PDFs remain exclusively on your device.
• We do not use analytics cookies or tracking pixels.
• We do not use advertising networks or third-party trackers.
• We do not log IP addresses or user sessions.

2. How File Processing Works

Every tool on 28tools operates entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies:

• HTML5 Canvas API — Image manipulation (resize, compress, crop, filter, etc.) happens in a Canvas element in your browser tab.
• File API & Blob API — Files are read from your local disk and results are written back as downloadable Blobs. No network transfer occurs.
• PDF.js & pdf-lib — PDF operations are performed using these open-source JavaScript libraries, loaded once from a CDN, and executed locally.
• JSZip — Multi-file outputs are packaged into ZIP archives in memory and downloaded directly to your device.

At no point in this process does any file data travel over the internet to our servers — because we have no servers processing files.

3. Cookies

28tools uses only one type of browser storage:

• localStorage — We store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

We use no tracking cookies, session cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.

4. Third-Party Services

28tools loads the following external resources:

• Google Fonts — The Inter typeface is loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log this request per their own privacy policy. You can review Google's Privacy Policy.
• CDN Libraries — JavaScript libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib, JSZip) are loaded from jsDelivr or cdnjs CDNs. These CDNs may log basic request metadata (IP, timestamp, resource) per their policies.

We recommend using an ad blocker or privacy browser extension if you wish to prevent these third-party connections entirely.

5. Children's Privacy

28tools does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we collect no personal information from anyone, this applies by default to all visitors of all ages.

6. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit your files or personal data, there is no user data for us to secure on our end. Your files are protected by your own device's security. We recommend keeping your operating system and browser up to date for the best security posture.

7. Your Rights

Because we store no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. However, you have the following rights with respect to your browser:

• Clear localStorage — You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time to remove the theme preference we store.
• Block third-party requests — You can use browser extensions to block Google Fonts and CDN requests if desired.
