Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: 2026
At 28Tools (accessible from https://prakash8900.github.io/28tools/), your privacy is our foundational principle. This Privacy Policy document describes how information is handled when you visit our website and use our browser-based utility tools.
1. Client-Side & Browser-Local Processing
The core architecture of 28Tools is engineered around browser-local computation:
- No File Uploads: When you compress, resize, crop, or convert images, or when you merge/split PDF files, the binary processing is executed entirely within your browser's local sandbox memory using client-side JavaScript, Canvas, and WebAssembly APIs.
- No Data Retention: Numerical values entered into financial calculators (such as income tax, GST, or loan amounts), passwords generated, and text formatted are never transmitted to our servers or saved in any remote database.
- Instant Cleanup: As soon as you close or refresh the browser tab, all memory allocated for temporary processing is immediately garbage-collected by your browser.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Personal Identifiable Information (such as names, addresses, or phone numbers)
- Financial documents, tax forms, or confidential spreadsheets
- User files, photos, or PDF attachments
- Account passwords or credentials
3. LocalStorage & User Preferences
28Tools may use your browser's built-in localStorage purely to remember non-sensitive user preferences across visits, such as:
- Your saved favorite tools list (
zt_favs) - Your dark theme display preference
This data stays on your local device and is never synchronized with any remote server.
4. Third-Party Services & Analytics
We may host static assets using standard Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for high performance and font delivery (such as Google Fonts). These third-party CDNs may log standard technical HTTP requests (e.g. browser user agent and IP address) strictly for traffic optimization and security compliance.
5. External Links
28Tools may contain links to external websites (e.g., GitHub). We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy policies of third-party websites. We encourage you to review their respective privacy practices.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical or operational improvements. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
